Governor Martin O’Malley invites nominations for the 204 Governor’s Service Awards. The awards will be presented by the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism and recognize Maryland citizens for their significant volunteer contributions to the life and health of the State and its people.
Nominations for the 2014 Governor’s Service Awards should represent outstanding volunteer service occurring in 2013, unless competing for a lifetime achievement award. Service must be performed outside of the context of the nominee’s paid employment and those who have been awarded since 2009 are ineligible for consideration.
